McClees has a BAÌýin environmental design. She has worked internationally since her first trip to Australia in 2004. Since then, her work has taken her all over the world, especially Latin America. She has found great joy in learning the history of the internet, how it wasÌýbuilt and impacts societies as well as how societies have prospered before its invention. She is operations director at The RiverÌýProject, which provides residents of Los Angeles with the tools to create climate-resilient communities through responsible planning and management of land and water resources.
