The Environmental Center offers a variety of bicycle classes and clinics to improve your skills and knowledge of bikes and bike riding.

Intro to Mountain BikingÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý

ÌýÌýSaturday, April 5 OR Saturday, April 19

ÌýÌý11 a.m.–2 p.m.

ÌýÌýValmont Bike Park (3160 Airport Rd, Boulder)

ÌýÌýClinic and bike rental: $40 | Clinic only: $15

Are you ready to hit the trails and embrace the thrill of mountain biking? Learn the basics of mountain biking at Boulder’s amazing Valmont Bike Park.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Brake properly
  • Shift to the correct gear
  • Ride with balance and body-bike separation
  • Climb and descend on trails
  • Steer and corner
  • Perform basic front wheel lifts
  • Roll down small drops
  • Pump the bike to gain speed

Grab your helmet and get ready to ride! Open to all CU students and staff. Must be able to ride a bike in a straight line on pavement.

$15 if you bring your own bike. You don’t need anything special for this intro course!

While supplies last, current fee-paying CU students may also rent a bike. Price is $40. Email bicycle@colorado.edu with your height to inquire if we have a rental that will work for you.
