Teresa is aÌýmulti-generation Colorado native whose parents’ roots stem from the San Luis Valley. Her dad was a Custodian/Security Guard, and her mom was a Counselor and Advisor at CU for 40 years. Teresa and her partner continue this legacy as alumni and staff at CU.

Teresa specializes in advocating for communities within the nonprofit realm and for students, staff, and faculty within higher education. It is important to her that students, staff, faculty, and community members feel heard, respected, and valued and have meaningful experiences while on campus. Since 2006, she has been fortunate to work for Student Affairs, Arts & Sciences Human Resources, and Central Human Resources.
