My research generally explores cognitive and neural processes that underlie how we perceive the world. More specifically, I utilize psychophysics, computational modeling, and neuroimaging to explore individual differences in the ways we perceive stimuli like color and faces. I did my PhD with Dr. Michael Webster at the University of Nevada, Reno, and defended my dissertation in May, which focused on the study of visual adaptation to better understand mechanisms underlying within and between cultural differences in our judgment of face categorization. I’m excited to expand on this work at CU by training more with modeling and fMRI methods. Outside of research I enjoy being outdoors, reading high fantasy, painting, and making pottery!
