RTD’s Bike-n-Ride shelters protect your bike from the weather.��Just make sure to pick up your bike from RTD shelters; abandoned bikes will be tagged and removed 30 days after being tagged.

To improve bike security, lock both the frame and front wheel to the rack with a u-lock. You can also��record your bike’s serial number on the��. The serial number is located on store receipts or underneath the bike’s bottom bracket, which is the metal part of the frame between the pedals.

Community Cycles is offering their popular fix-a-flat class for free to celebrate Winter Bike to Work Day. Gain a new skill on Wednesday, Feb. 12 from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M. at the Community Cycles Shop on Spruce St.��.

Add bike skills to your arsenal by booking a��Learn to Ride class with the E Center. CU students, faculty and staff can��send an email to schedule a private lesson, which offers a balance bike (a bike without pedals) to practice on.

Before hitting the road, make sure your bike is winter-ready. Clean the chain to prevent rust, and check tire pressure, brakes and headlights. Make sure to dress in layers, starting with an insulating layer and finishing with a waterproof, reflective outer layer. Don't forget to protect your hands and feet by investing in good quality gloves and thermal socks to keep yourself warm.

Celebrate Black History Month with us by learning about two Black leaders in the transportation sector:

• Lois Cooper:�� was the first female African American transportation engineer in the Engineering Department at the Division of Highways, which is now called the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans). She was a part of several projects, such as the I-105 Century Freeway and the San Diego Freeway. She also became the first female director of the First Diamond Lane, which would lead to carpool lanes.
• Garrett Augustus Morgan:�� invented the three-position traffic signal, which improved the “stop” and “go” signals of that time by adding a third signal warning cars to slow down before a complete stop. His invention was the predecessor of the modern traffic light and improved traffic and pedestrian safety.

RTD has been gathering community feedback about�� of the Civil Rights Act, which promotes equitable access to transit services and ensures compliance with federal regulations.��

For more resources, the City of Boulder has provided a�� for Boulder residents that are part of the city's immigrant and LGBTQ+ communities. City leadership is currently assessing the situation and carefully considering their response through local government and community partnerships.

CU’s annual�� bike ride has raised over $4 million for high-merit/high-need scholarships for Colorado high school graduates since the ride was created in 2003.
