Quantum Education and Policy Summit

Q-SEnSE is partnering with the American Physical Society and the Johns Hopkins University Science Diplomacy Group to convene a national Quantum Education and Policy Summit as part of the International Year of Quantum. ÌýAs quantum education and workforce development (EWD) efforts ramp up to meet the demands of the burgeoning quantum industry, it's crucial that educators attend to the growing need for a holistic EWD strategy, one that meets the needs of quantum-conversant students as well as specialists. Ìý
The goal of the Quantum Education and Policy Summit is to platform educators and workforce development leaders, representing a wide variety of regions throughout the country as well as all levels of quantum specialization from R1s to community colleges, to articulate the unique needs and interests that drive quantum EWD in different communities around the country. ÌýThe Summit will generate a report describing the quantum EWD landscape and including recommendations on how the quantum workforce community can implement a broad, collaborative education effort.

This invitation-only event will be hosted in Washington DC on 6-8 August, 2025. Ìý
