Aerospace Room Reservations

Smead Aerospace conference rooms can be reserved using the campus To schedule a room, you will need to log in using your Identikey. If it's your first time using EMS, email umc-emsstudent@colorado.edu for login issues.Ìý

Per the Campus Use of University Facilities policy, students are not allowed to reserve classrooms, unless they are making a reservation for a course that they are currently supporting as a Teaching Assistant or Teaching Fellow. Ph.D. students may request use of classrooms and conference rooms using EMS for the purposes of research meetings or comprehensive exams and defenses. Undergraduate students are not able to reserve AERO spaces and are encouraged to attend the Undergraduate Study Hall sessions offered twice a week. Student organizations may request use of spaces if they are a CSI recognized group. The group signers/organization administrators are the only users authorized to book rooms for this purpose.

AERO Classrooms:

Classroom reservation priority is for academic purposes. The first two weeks of eachÌýsemester are reserved for only academic reservations. Any requests made prior to the third week of classes may be able to be held, but cannot be guaranteed until this time as the Registrar's Office may need to academically "bump" non-academic requests for class needs.Ìý

PhD students needing classrooms for their comprehensive exams and defenses and TAs and TFs needing classrooms for academic needs should have permission starting in the third week of the semester. The template entitled "AERO_ECCR Classrms SPG 25" should be used for these purposes.

AERO Conference Rooms:

Conference room reservation priority is for aerospace faculty and staff. Aerospace faculty and staff will have the ability to begin reserving conference rooms at least one week before classes begin each semester after the curriculum team has completed reservations needed for academic purposes. PhD students needing conference rooms for their comprehensive exams or research meetings may do so during this time by using the template entitled "AERO Spaces (Fac,Staff, PhD, &TA/TFs)."

AERO 224L is the Executive Conference Room and department faculty and staff are given priority use of the space. This space is also often used for important high-profile functions from the department and campus. This space cannot be requested by faculty, staff, or PhD/TA/TF students until two weeks prior to the requested date. This allows additional flexibility for its intended use.

Non-CU Affiliates:

Other campus units and outside groups may reserve AERO rooms and hold events in the aerospace building but must agree to our reservation polices and fee schedule. If you have additional questions or would like to schedule an event, email aeroevents@colorado.edu.

Building and Space Access:

All users of AERO spaces should be aware of building access: /fm/campus-building-access#ucb-accordion-id--8-content6Ìý

Key access to classrooms and conference rooms is required. Those without assigned keys should request one from administrative suite staff during regular hours of operation (M-F 8:30am-4:30pm, minus national, state, and university holidays). Users of reservations made outside of the suite hours should plan accordingly to retrieve the necessary key.
