The Department of Economics recognizes the paramount importance of inclusive excellence, aligning with the University of Colorado’s top priorities. The department fully endorses the definition of inclusive excellence as articulated in the university’s recently adopted Inclusion, Diversity, and Excellence in Academics (IDEA) Plan. This concept encompasses a comprehensive view of diversity and inclusive practices, fostering a welcoming environment where all community members—faculty, staff, and students—can share diverse perspectives and achieve success.
